Jeffrey C. Davis, M.D. Jeffrey C. Davis, M.D. has practiced in Birmingham since 1995. Dr. Davis received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech with high honors in 1982. After earning his medical degree in 1986, he completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the highly acclaimed Campbell Clinic in Memphis. Dr. Davis served in the United States Air Force Medical Corps attaining the rank of Major as an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Davis performs total hip and total knee arthroplasty through a limited incision utilizing the latest prosthetic technology. He continues to explore ways to help patients with arthritis improve their quality of life and improve function. He performs both hip and shoulder resurfacing when appropriate and partial knee arthroplasty when indicated. Dr. Davis has taken a particular interest in hip resurfacing and has become the leading surgeon utilizing the technology in the area of central and north Alabama. He believes that for the younger, more active patient with good bone quality the hip resurfacing procedure provides an opportunity to remain active. In addition to arthroplasty procedures, Dr. Davis treats all orthopedic injuries, deformities, and pain excluding the spine. He performs arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, and ankle. Dr. Davis is considered one of the leading orthopedic surgeons caring for injured workers and workers' compensation claims in the Birmingham area. Dr. Davis has served as both lead and sub-investigator in many clinical drug and medical device studies. He serves as a preceptor for the Physician's Assistant program at UAB. Dr. Davis has served as a team physician for Spain Park and has worked with the Arthritis Foundation in designing workplace improvements for employees. Dr. Davis and his wife, Sheri, have two sons and three daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and trying to stay in shape. He and his family worships at The Church of the Highlands.
